How to Gain The Horse Riding Skill

The horse riding skill can be gained through so many different interactions with horses. You can do rides around the neighbourhood as well as through practicing barrels and jumps. As you spend more time riding your sims are going to start looking more confident and having better moodlets when riding.

Traits to Help Gain The Skill Faster

There are no traits that specifically effect the horse riding skill gain but there are certain ones that can make the experience more enjoyable:

• Loves the Outdoors: When you’re trying to gain the horse riding skill you’ll want to have a sim who loves the outdoors because they’ll get a positive moodlet from spending time outdoors.
• Horse Lover: This trait isn’t going to make them gain the skill faster but it will make them enjoy the experience more since they love being around horses.

Horse Riding Skill Levels

Horse riding is a major skill for your sims meaning their are ten levels of the skill to gain and with each level your sim will get better at riding horses as well as unlock some new interactions and objects:

• Level One: Sims are able to start riding horses.
• Level Two: Unlocks ability to go for intense ride as well as canter when on horseback.
• Level Three: Sims can direct horses to practice on jumps and barrels if they have the proper skill level.
• Level Four: Sim is less likely for a horse to buck them off and unlocks the discuss horse riding interaction.
• Level Five: Sim will not be tense when riding horses anymore and you can now do intense training on jumps and barrels.
• Level Six: Sims will get more positive moodlets after riding a horse.

How to Cheat The Horse Riding Skill

With every skill we get in The Sims 4 we get a new skill cheat that you can use instead of putting in effort and that applies to horse riding too! This is an easy cheat to use, and you’ll just need to change the X at the end of the skill to whatever level of the skill you want your sims to earn (from 1 to 10).
