We’ve had some form of pets in our games since The Sims 1 and it always makes me happy to have these adorable virtual animals. Your dogs in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs can be so well trained if your sims can earn this skill but sometimes it’s easier to just use the sims 4 pet training skill cheat to skip past earning it.
How to Enable Cheats
There are a whole bunch of cheats for The Sims 4 that are only really going to work if you first enable cheats because the game may get confused without it. Doing this is super easy, your first job is to open up the cheat dialogue box with one of the following commands:
- PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
- Mac: Command + Shift + C
- Console: All Four Triggers
Once this cheat box opens up you’ll want to type in testingcheats true and hit enter. When you do this the game is going to show you that cheats are enabled, once this happens you’re free to use any cheat code that’s available in the game.
How to Use Sims 4 Pet Training Skill Cheat
There are actually two types of skills in the game, a major skill (like cooking) or a minor skill. The pet training skill is actually a minor skill which means that there are only five levels of the skill for your sims to earn (or cheat).
The base of the pet training skill cheat doesn’t have the word pet training in it at all, it says stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog X where you’ll swap the X for a number between one and five depending on what level of the skill you want your sim to have.
|Level of The Skill
|stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog 1
|stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog 2
|stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog 3
|stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog 4
|stats.set_skill_level skill_Dog 5
When you’re adding pets to your game you may not think much about training them, but using the sims 4 pet training skill cheat can be super helpful. It’s going to help you make it so your pets make less messes, ruin less stuff and can even do the obstacle course. Happy Playing!
