The Sims 4: Island Living Cheats
There are so many players of The Sims 4 out there who can’t play without cheats, and I am definitely one of them. There are a number of cheats for The Sims 4: Island Living that can help improve your gameplay, but there aren’t a ton of these cheats like with other packs. They can definitely help this pack be a bit more fun.
How to Enable Cheats
Before you are able to use any cheats in The Sims 4, you need to first enable cheats to make sure they work. To do this you want to first open the cheat console by hitting the following things:
- PC: ctrl + shift + c
- Mac: command + shift + c
- Console: all four trigger buttons
Once you hit these you will see a slim white box open at the top of the screen and you will then type in testingcheats true and hit enter and the game should let you know that cheats are enabled and you’re free to cheat your heart out.
Career Cheats
With The Sims 4: Island Living we got the new conservationist career for your sims to play with. There are a few cheats to promote, demote or remove this career so you can streamline the process.

Part-Time Job Cheats
A fun part about this pack is that we got three new part time jobs, as well as one of them applied to teenagers. Part-time jobs are fun for gameplay so you aren’t having your sims constantly being at work. These career cheats will promote your sim, but you also have the option to change promote in the cheat to demote to get your sim demoted in these careers.

Suntan or Sunburn Cheats
A really fun and realistic part of The Sims 4: Island Living is that your sims are able to get suntans or sunburns based on the clothing that they are wearing which can lead to some really funny tan lines. You are able to use a shift click cheat to get a few things to happen for your tan.
You’ll first want to enable cheats to make sure this works, then go to your sim and hold down shift and click on your sim to bring up the cheat menu then go to sunbathing options.
You’ll have the option to get your sims burnt, lock their tan, remove their tan, or just get a regular, normal looking tan based on what you want to see.
Become a Mermaid
If you want to become a mermaid but don’t want to go on a search for Mermaid Kelp, you can use cheats to get this done without the effort. There is a cheat to turn into a mermaid as well as a cheat to turn back into a sim. However, there is a chance that when you turn back your hygiene need will stay as hydration so you may need to use the other cheat as well to switch it back.

Cause a Volcano Eruption
This cheat is a fun one but it must be used when you are living on a lot that has the volcanic activity lot trait and you can summon either a small or large eruption of the volcano.

Final Thoughts
These cheats aren’t the most exciting, but honestly that fits The Sims 4: Island Living because it isn’t the most exciting either. Hopefully these cheats will help your gameplay a bit and have your having a bit more fun in Sulani. Happy playing!
