The Sims 4: Horse Ranch Cheats

Every expansion pack we get comes with so many cheat codes that you need to know to make the most of your experience. These horse ranch cheats for The Sims 4 are so important if you want to experience all parts of the game without having to grind too hard the entire time. You’ll find cheats for skills, aspirations and other stuff too!

Sim Skill Cheats

Skill cheats are one of the ones I use the most, especially when creating a new family because I don’t want my sims to have no skills when they’re a full adult with a spouse and kids. Thankfully, these cheats come with every pack and are super easy to remember once you know the base of the cheat.

The base of any skill cheats for the game starts with stats.skill_level which is something I’ll remember for the rest of my life at this point. Then you just add the ending for the cheat to the end, which changes depending on which skill you’re trying to cheat.

There are two skills you can cheat with this pack, the nectar making skill as well as the horse riding skill and their cheats are as follows:

• Horse Riding: stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_EquestrianSkill X
• Nectar Making: stats.set_skill_level AdultMinor_RanchNectar X

You’ll want to replace the X at the end with whatever level of the skill you want your sims to have. There are 10 levels to get from the horse riding skill and 5 levels for nectar making so to max out the nectar making skill your cheat would be:

• stats.set_skill_level AdultMinor_RanchNectar 5

Horse Skill Cheats

Your sims aren’t the only ones who get to gain skills in Horse Ranch, there are actually more skills for horses than sims in this one! However, since you can’t control your horses you’re going to have to find their sim ID before being able to use these cheats.

To find a horse’s sim ID you need to open the cheat box and type in sims.get_sim_id_by_name {First Name} {Last Name} but replace the brackets with your horses name. For example if your horses name is Fuzzy Wuzzy your horse sim ID cheat would be sims.get_sim_id_by_name Fuzzy Wuzzy then hit enter and the game will let you know what that sim’s ID number is.

Pro Tip: The sim ID finding mechanism doesn’t usually work if your sim has three names, for example if your horses name is something like Emma Leigh Smith it probably won’t work, so make sure they have one name or for a minute go into CAS with the full edit mode cheat and change their name, find their ID and then go and change it back.

There are four skills for you to cheat for your horses and each has the same basic cheat structure where you’ll change the X to whatever level or the skill you’d wan and you’ll add their sim ID to the end like so:

So, let’s say the game spits out the sim ID of 12345 and you want to give your horse level 5 of the jumping skill, the cheat would be:

• stats.set_skill_level Horse_Jumping 5 12345

Aspiration Cheats

If you’re working through the aspirations that came with this pack you may want to cheat through certain parts (no shame in that game) and that’s super easy to do.

To complete the current milestone for the aspiration you’ll want to type in aspirations.complete_current_milestone which will complete the entire aspiration for both the aspirations for this pack since they only have one milestone page. You can also use aspirations.complete_aspiration to just finish off the entire aspiration.

Trait Cheats

There are two traits that you can add to your sims with this pack which are the horse lover trait and the rancher trait. These can be added in create-a-sim but if you want to force add them to your sims you can do this through cheating which is super easy to do.

Likes and Dislikes Cheats

The likes and dislikes system can guide the things your sims want to do autonomously as well as the level to which they enjoy certain tasks, so many you want to add some likes and dislikes to have a better in-game experience.
