Before you can use most of these cheats codes you are going to need to first enable cheats and learn how to open the cheat dialogue box.
To open the cheat box you want to hit ctrl + shift + c on your keyboard, or press all 4 triggers on console. This will open a white box at the top of your screen where you can type in cheat codes. How to Enable Sims 4 Cheats on Console
When you are playing The Sims 4 on either Xbox or Playstation, you also have access to cheats. In order to enable cheats for a console player you need to hold down all four triggers on your controller until a small, thin white box appears in the top left hand corner where you will input your cheats.

Free Real Estate
The free real estate cheat is used when you’re either moving a family into a home for the first time or in the menu to move a family from one home to another. When you’re in the neighbourhood screen and the game would like for you to choose a house you’ll want to go ahead and open the cheat box and type in freerealestate on.
The game should let you know that free real estate is on and you’ll be free to choose any house you want your family to live in regardless of price. Your family will keep every simoleon that they have in their family funds and get to move in completely for free.
Money X (Family Funds Cheat)
In The Sims 3 there was a family funds cheat that was extremely popular and every player loved it, there is an equivalent in The Sims 4! This cheat works a bit different than it did in The Sims 3 but it’s still a great cheat to know.
For this one you’ll want to open up the cheat box, enable your cheats and then type in Money X but replace the X with whatever amount of money you want your sims to have.
For example, if you want your sims to have 100,000 simoleons the entire cheat would be Money 100,000 and you’d hit enter and the game would adjust your family funds to have exactly 100,000 in it. This doesn’t just add 100,00 to your money, it adds whatever amount you’d need to have 100,000 total.
Motherlode, Kaching, Rosebud
These are the most used money cheats in the game because they are so easy to use. To use these you’ll want to enable your sims 4 cheats and then type in one of these words and hit enter. Once you hit enter the game will automatically give you the amount of money you asked for.
If you type in kaching or rosebud the game is automatically going to give you 1,000 simoleons added right to your family funds. If you type in motherlode the game will give you 50,000 simoleons directly into your family funds.

There are 4 skills for your child-aged sims to learn and all are tied to an aspiration that goes right along with them. Trait Cheats
Trait cheats allow you to give your sim any trait that they don’t currently have, without them having to earn it through the reward store or completing aspirations.

Need Cheats
Unlike in past games, there is no way to cheat your sims need individually without a mod like UI Cheats. However, you are able to use a shift click cheat to click on the mailbox to change your sims needs. There are a few options you can do when you hold down shift and click on the mailbox.
You can fill needs entirely for just the household or the entire world which can make your whole house happy in one click. You also have the option to shift click on a single sim and choose make happy to fill just their needs.
Finally, you can disable or enable needs decay by shift clicking on the mailbox so your sims needs never change.
Relationship Cheats
The relationship cheats are a bit more confusing when you first look at them. So, let’s go over an example. If you want to increase the friendship between Bob and Eliza Pancakes by 50 points the cheat would look like this:

If you wanted to decrease their relationship by 50 points you would just need to add an – before the number and it would look like this:

All of these cheats function the same, where you need the first and last name for each sim, the positive or negative number amount and the LTR part of the cheat to make it work. If you have a pet without a last name for the last two cheats, you don’t need to have a last name.

In the game you a re able to use satisfaction points to purchase reward store perks like not having to sleep, being welcome anywhere and more. Get Together Cheats
There aren’t many cheats for you to need to know with The Sims 4: Get Together, there are only cheats for the skills that came with the game which are dancing and DJ mixing.
The below cheats are going to have your sims max out the skill, with dancing being a 5 level minor skill and DJ mixing being a 10 level major skill. You can change the number at the end to be whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

Journey to Batuu Sims 4 Cheats
In the fall of 2020 we were given The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu, possibly the most controversial of all sims packs ever. With this pack there are some sims 4 cheats that can help make your experience better in the game.
The very first cheat you need to know is changing your faction world states. This can be done by shift clicking on your sim, going to Batuu Cheats and going to Faction World States and choosing a different one.
The next is the create-a-sim unlock by tag cheat that unlocks all of the clothing items that you’d find in CAS. There are tons of locked items for Journey to Batuu so using this cheat can let you have access to these at any time.

Playing with light sabers is a big part of this pack but there is no light saber skill that you’re going to need to gain. However, your sim’s fitness skill is going to impact how well you do with your light saber battles. Therefore, you may want to cheat the fitness skill. You can change the number 10 to whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

Our next type of cheat will give your sim more galactic credits to make your time more smooth. You can change the number 500 at the end of the cheat to whatever number of credits you want your sims to have.

Finally, your sims are able to get a bunch of batuu items without effort by simple shift clicking on your sim. Then you’ll want to go to Batuu Cheats and then click on Give Batuu Items and they will immediately appear in your sim’s inventory.
Dream Home Decorator Cheats
There are two sims 4 cheats that you’re going to need to know for this pack. The first one is for getting promoted in the Decorator Career.

The first cheats are how to become a werewolf which is an easy process if you use the equip and remove trait cheats. To be able to make your sim a werewolf you’ll want to use this cheat:

Temperaments Cheats
The temperaments your werewolves have are going to seriously affect your gameplay and make your werewolves have more fury in weird ways. You’ll want to have the good ones to make sure you have a better experience.
These cheats currently have equip in them which means they’ll add temperaments but if you change it to remove it’ll get rid of a temperament. If you have four temperaments already, you’ll need to use a cheat to remove one before you can add another.

Sims 4 Cheats for Stuff Packs
There have been so many stuff packs released over the time that The Sims 4 has been around. However, there aren’t a ton of sims 4 cheats for stuff packs considering most of them just have things and CAS items in them, not actual gameplay that requires cheats. Below you’ll find the few stuff packs that you’ll need cheats for.
Romantic Garden Cheats
There is only one thing you can use sims 4 cheats with in The Sims 4: Romantic Garden and that is the wishing well. You are able to edit different outcomes and turn off the cool down on the wishing well by holding down shift and clicking on it. You’ll see a menu appear and you can choose things from there.
Bowling Night Cheats
There really aren’t a ton of sims 4 cheats for many of the stuff packs we get. The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff only has one cheat that you need to know and that is the skill cheat that came with the pack.
The bowling skill is a five level minor skill that can only be earned through bowling. The skill cheat has a number at the end that can be anywhere from 1 to 5 depending on whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have.
- Bowling Skill Cheat: stats.set_skill_level Skill_Bowling 5
Nifty Knitting Sims 4 Cheats
The first sims 4 cheats you need to know is definitely the cheat for the knitting skill. This one is a major skill meaning it has ten levels to play through for your characters and you can change the number 10 at the end of the cheat to be whatever number from 1 to 10 you’d like.
- Knitting Skill: stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_Knitting 10
Next up are the specific unlock cheats for this pack since there are so many DIY items in this stuff pack. The first cheat is the CAS unlock cheat that allows you to unlock all of the knitted clothing items.
- Unlock Clothing in CAS: cas.unlockbytag SP17
The other cheat you need to know is the show hidden objects cheats that’s going to let you just purchase any of the knitted decorations and toys straight from build mode.
- Unlocks Build Knittables: bb.showhiddenobjects
Whenever you manage to finish the lord/lady of the knits aspiration your sims are going to get the sacred knitting knowledge bonus trait. This trait is fun because it makes your sim have the ability to craft the forbidden sweater which is gorgeous. This next cheat is going to just let you add this trait to your sims without working on the aspiration.
- Add Sacred Knitting Knowledge Trait: traits.equip_trait trait_SacredKnittingKnowledge
Paranormal Sims 4 Cheats
The first sims 4 cheats you need to know for The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff is the skill cheats for the medium skill. For this cheat you can change the number at the end from anywhere from 1 to 5. This is a minor skill in the game meaning it only has five levels for your sims to play through.
- Medium Skill Cheat: stats.set_skill_level minor_medium 5
The next options for cheats from Paranormal are cheats about the paranormal investigator career. There are two cheats in this category where the first one has your sims getting the license without having to put in any effort. The second is going to give your sims a raise in their paranormal career.
- Get Paranormal License: traits.equip_trait trait_Freelancer_Career_ParanormalInvestigator_License
- Get a Raise: careers.promote Paranormalinvestigator
The next thing is going to unlock create a sim items that are currently locked unless you earn them yourselves. You’ll use this while you’re already in create a sim and you can use the filters > content > unlocked to find them.
- Unlock CAS Items: cas.unlockbytag SP18
Finally, there are a few really silly and completely unnecessary cheats in the game that you can use too.
- Make Your Sim a Ghost: traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_SeanceTable
- Make Your Sim Look Like Guidry: traits.equip_trait trait_Guidry
- Make Your Sim Look Like Temperance: traits.equip_trait trait_HauntedHouse_Temperance
Unlocking CAS Items with Sims 4 Cheats
When you’re in create-a-sim you may notice that there are some items that are hidden behind locks, or other items that you just can’t access. There is actually a simple cheat code to unlock these items, however, it only works for items locked ever since The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting.
There is a simple cheat to be able to unlock these items that changes depending on the pack that the items come from. However, the beginning of the cheat code starts the same and that is cas.unlockbytag and then you’ll need to know the game code for each pack that this works for.
- Nifty Knitting: cas.unlockbytag SP17
- Paranormal: cas.unlockbytag SP18
- Dream Home Decorator: cas.unlockbytag GP10
Once you use this sims 4 cheat you’re going to have the cheat box pop open way larger and show you the exact items that you’ve unlocked and all their variations. This is how you know the cheat worked.
Pro Tip: You can go to the create-a-sim tags and under content you’ll actually find an unlocked button you can check off and only the items you’ve unlocked with this cheat will appear.

Missing the toddler potty skill code being written out (stats.set_skill_level skill_toddler_potty 5)
Photography skill only goes to skill level 5 however, it’s written as if it goes to 10. I wanted to set all my Sim’s skill to the prior level so they can master that last level on their own. (stats.set_skill_level Major_Photography 5)

Is there a cheat to increase the number of sims on a lot? One of my Sims just bought a castle and has moved his brother and his family in as well, as it is enormous. There are 8 of them altogether but they can’t have babies because it exceeds the 8, which is the max on a lot.
