The teens jump to university mod allows your teen sims to go to University if they are doing well in school, however, it is not guaranteed. It will have a random likelihood of happening and it will just appear as a pop-up that comes from the school, so you don’t get to choose it, making it a bit more fun.

The Sheldon L Cooper Program allows your teenaged sims to apply for scholarships to help them pay for University. You can get scholarships for 5,000 or 15,000 and there is even a night school for your sims to attend to get their grades up and earn a scholarship.
