Sims 4 Singing Skill Cheat & How to Use It
We all want to be great singers, both IRL and in The Sims 4. However, both us and our sims are going to start out having a horrible singing voice and it’ll be rough to listen to. That’s when the sims 4 singing skill cheat comes in clutch so you can skip all the annoying parts of listening to them.
This is going to make it so your sims are amazing when they sing in the shower and can always show off their skill when they go to karaoke with their best friends!
To use the sims 4 singing skill cheat you’re going to want to enable cheat codes then type in stats.set_skill_level Major_Singing X into your cheat box, you change the X at the end to whatever skill level you want your sims to have and press enter and voila!
How to Enable Cheats
This section is a must have in every cheats article on this website because many players don’t realize that a ton of cheats in The Sims 4 aren’t going to work if you don’t first enable cheats. Thankfully, this process is super easy and takes just seconds.
The first step is to open up the cheat dialogue box which can be done with a simple command depending on the device you’re using to play:
- PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
- Mac: Command + Shift + C
- Console: All Four Triggers
When you do these commands a white box will appear at the top of the screen and you’ll then want to type in testingcheats true and hit enter. Then, the box will pop larger and say cheats are enabled and at this point you’re free to use your favourite cheat codes here.
How to Use The Sims 4 Singing Skill Cheat
When we’re dealing with different skills in the game there are two types, the first being five-level minor skills which are things like the medium skill. The second category is major skills and that’s where singing falls, where your sims have ten levels of the skill to earn over time.
Since the singing skill is a major skill you’ll have ten variations of the skill that you can find below. The base of the skill is stats.set_skill_level major_singing X where you’ll swap out the X at the end for whatever level of the skill you wish your sims would have.

Final Thoughts
Who honestly has time in The Sims 4: City Living to sit there and listen to their sims be horrible at singing? Honestly, could never be me. It’s just like listening to the horrible sounds of a violin being played by someone with a lower skill, just atrocious. Use an uper case M in Major
Keep in mind if you did not beging a certain skill you want to use the cheats it won’t work. You’ll have to go unlock the skills and then use the cheat. It does work
