The second community voted stuff pack is upon us and we are now able to knit with The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting and create beautiful objects. These objects work like the fabricated objects from Eco Lifestyle and are locked behind cheat walls unless you have already created them yourself.

There are two types of knitted objects, the first is knitted clothing that you’ll find in create a sim and the second is the knitted items like toys and decor items that can be found in the build menu.

How to Enable Cheats

Before you are able to use these cheats you want to make sure that you have cheats enabled so that they work properly. First you want to open the cheat box with ctrl + shift + c on your keyboard. Then type in testingcheats true and hit enter. This will enable all cheats to work in The Sims 4.

How to Unlock Knitted Clothing Objects

In this pack we now have objects in CAS that are locked but still visible when you are in create a sim. To unlock these naturally you need to use the knitting skill and craft the objects on your own, however, you are able to use a cheat to unlock all of these clothing items if you don’t want to have a sim in your household to knit.

The cheat to unlock all of this stuff in CAS is cas.unlockbytag SP17 and will unlock all of the items for The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting. These will be unlocked for the entire save and you aren’t able to undo this, but you’ll be able to still knit them if you want.

How to Unlock Knitted Decor Objects

There are a whole bunch of objects that your sims can create that aren’t clothing items like a knitted rug. These are also available to you if you have a cheat which we already know about which is the buy debug cheat that will unlock this stuff as well as all the fabricated furniture from The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle.

To get this done you want to use the cheat bb.showhiddenobjects and you’ll be able to find these items in the build catalog.
