The Sims 4: How to Read With an Adult
If you have a child aged sim in The Sims 4 who is trying to finish the Whiz Kid Aspiration, you are going to need to complete the read with an adult part of the aspiration. This is an easy part, but it isn’t clear how to get an adult to read to a child in the game.
How to Read With an Adult
This is something that you need to be controlling an adult to get to work. When controlling an adult you’ll need to click on a children’s book (either in a bookshelf or in the adult’s inventory) and choose read to child and choose the child who is currently working on the aspiration.
You may need to first purchase a children’s book which can be done by clicking on a bookcase and choosing purchase books and you can sort by children’s books.
You also may need to read with an adult more than once so you can complete the entire time allotment for this part of the aspiration.

Pick a kids book. Have the adult put the book down. Then click on the kids book and there should be the read to a child option!
You have to open the inventory of a bookshelf, click on a childrens book there and then you have the option.
