The Sims 4: Mansion Baron Aspiration

There are three huge parts of The Sims 4, creating sims, playing the game and creating beautiful homes. A sim who wants to live in the most big, beautiful home may choose to go through the mansion baron aspiration.

This aspiration focuses on owning the largest and most expensive house filled with art, windows, and columns. Fancy stuff!

Traits That May Help

A lot of the aspirations in The Sims 4 will have a decent trait that can go right along with the aspiration to make it easier or make your sims enjoy it more.

Materialistic

The materialistic trait is a good option for a sim who wishes to finish the mansion baron aspiration because these sims have the ability to go and brag about their possessions as they get them which will give them some positive moodlets.

Ambitious

The ambitious trait is another good option because it will help your sims get promoted more quickly so that they can make more money to spend on their home.

Thrifty Reward Trait

When your sim finishes the mansion baron aspiration they are going to be given the thrifty reward trait. This is a pretty cool one and will help you save money on build items.

Thrifty sims are going to get a 10% rebate on all build mode purchases. This means that you’ll get a lump sum every few days from purchases you made in build mode.

Stages of the Aspiration

Level One: Estate of the Art

  • Have a Home Worth 50,000 Simoleons
  • Own 15 Pieces of Art

The first part of this aspiration means that you need to have a house that is worth 50,000 simoleons. This is going to take you a little while considering you only get 20,000 simoleons to start.

To increase the value of a home you can purchase windows, doors, columns, pools, landscaping and any kind of furniture or home decor. Any item from the build and buy catalog will add to the value of your home.

Your sim is going to need to have 15 pieces of art inside their home as well, but they don’t need to be fancy or expensive pieces of art to start. You can get the least expensive items at the beginning and upgrade as time goes on.

Level Two: The Great Landscaper

  • Have a Home Worth 100,000 Simoleons
  • Purchase 5,000 Simoleons Worth of Landscaping

In this part of the aspiration you are going to need to have a home that is worth a total of 100,000 simoleons which is a decent amount. You may want to start considering more expensive pieces of art, and expensive furniture and appliances.

You are also going to need to start landscaping your home. This includes adding trees, flowers, bushes, and rocks to your home which is what really makes a lot in The Sims 4 beautiful. You must spend 5,000 in the landscaping section of the build catalog.

I know a lot of people have trouble with landscaping, so here’s a video from MsGryphi on Youtube that will show you how you can landscape and give you a ton of tips to make it look great.

Level Three: Home Renovator

  • Have a Home Worth 200,000 Simoleons
  • Own 30 Windows

This is where this aspiration gets a bit more complicated and you’re going to need to own a rather large home. You’ll need to have at least 30 windows in your home so you’ll need a huge house to make that look normal, and probably at least 2 levels.

You are also going to need to have a home worth at least 200,000 simoleons. You can buy something like a pool, or a really expensive 15,000 simoleon violin.

Level Four: Mansion Baron

  • Have a Home Worth 350,000 Simoleons
  • Purchase 20 Columns

To finish off this aspiration you are going to need to have a home that is worth a total of 350,000 simoleons. This is a lot of money for a single home, I’m not even entirely sure how to make a home worth this much money look good, but if you want to be a mansion baron, you may want to just add a ton of crazy decor pieces and just choose the most expensive ones.

Finally, you are going to need to have at least 20 columns in your home. These can be used inside or outside thankfully, you can use them to hold up roof overhangs, porches, decks, and so much more so get creative.

Final Thoughts

Base game aspirations in The Sims 4 aren’t very complicated and can get done rather quickly, however, this one requires that you make a whole bunch of money to spend on your home. You may even want to do something like the fabulously wealthy aspiration before so you can earn more satisfaction points while you make the money for your home. Happy playing!
