Possibly the most popular custom content searched for is sims 4 cc hair especially in the maxis match category because the hairs in the game are good, but none of them are great. A new hairstyle can completely change the look of your sims and give them a whole new vibe.

Since the hairs that we have in the game (especially if you only have the base game) are extremely basic and can take time to keep up with the trends using custom content hair is the key to having beautiful sims.

There are two types of sims 4 cc hair in the game, one is Alpha CC which takes more of a Sims 3 style and the other is Maxis Match CC which is more of the vibe of The Sims 4 in this article we’ll focus mostly on Maxis Match.

Charlotte Hair

If you want your sims to have perfectly straight hair but don’t want it to be boring, you should definitely look into this super fun Charlotte hair. This hair has both sides of the hair tucked behind the ear and behind the back, showing off your sim’s style.

You can even imagine wearing this one as a gorgeous wedding hair option with a veil added on top. Somehow this super simple hair feels super fancy.

Raven Hair

When you’re trying to find awesome everyday hairs for your sims you’ll want to look into Raven. This hair is a great center part hair with a slight wave that just feels like something simple your sims can wear daily.

The best part about this hair is the varying layers that add texture and style and really make it seem realistic. We all know that custom content creators do it better than EA and Raven is living proof.

Mina Sims 4 CC Hair

Let’s continue to fill that mods folder with fun hairstyles! This space bun hairstyle is super fun, mostly because it isn’t perfect. Sometimes I want my custom hair mods to be a little messier so they feel more realistic.

This hair has a slight center part where you have bang pieces going back toward your sim’s ears. Then the hair is pulled back into a space bun on either side of the head with pieces coming out in a super natural way.

Juliet Hair

Adding accessories is the best way to make a hairstyle look more fun and more interesting than many of the boring EA hairs. This hair has half of the hair up and pulled back with the bow and the rest of the hair drapes down the back in a simple straight look with two pieces framing the face as bangs.

The best part about this hair is that its super versatile! The bow accessory doesn’t have to be added as its actually in the hats category so you can find it separate and wear this hair however you like.

Keke Hair

Honestly, I’ve always been jealous of anyone who has naturally curly hair and the only way I can fake that I have curly hair is to add it to the sims. There are dozens of curly hair cc options in my mods folder!

This hair is so much fun because it has so much volume and looks so large and gorgeous. There are a few pieces of curly hair that are going right over your sim’s forehead giving them a beautiful bang too.

Kelani Braids Set

The Kelani Braids Set is a beautiful braided hairstyle that starts with braids right on the head that go down to braids down the back. This braid set is awesome because it is made perfectly for both masculine and feminine sims and looks amazing on both!

Audrey Hair

The Audrey Hair is a gorgeous option for a shorter hair for your sims as it comes right below your sim’s jaw line. The hair is slightly wavy and has a multi-dimensional colour making it super interesting and since this is a shorter hair it really gives you the option to put a necklace on your sim as a statement piece.

Bluebell Hair V2

The Bluebell Hair V2 has so much going on and is just so incredibly detailed. The hair starts at the front of the head where there are two french braids going back toward the back of the head and eventually going into two large curly poofs. The front of the hair has some face framing pieces and completely shows off your sim’s ears!

Daisy Sims 4 CC Hair

Most of my favourite sims 4 cc hairs definitely have some kind of hair accessories attached to them and this Daisy Hair has a beautiful simple headband on it. The base of the hair is in a nice wave with pieces tucked behind the ear allowing you to show off some great earrings!

If you’re looking for a really cool hairstyle that would be worn by a sim who loves roller derby, the rock-a-bye bangs hair is the one for you. This hair has a short straight across bang with no dimension to the hairs making it a super blunt and interesting look. The hair is pulled back behind the sim’s ears and it just looks so cool, especially when paired with some custom tattoos or really cool earrings.

June Hair

There is no better hair for a rich suburban mom than the June Hair. This just looks like something you’d see in a rich private school drop off line in the morning and that makes me happy, imagine Nancy Landgraab in this and you’ll see my vision!

Sadie Sims 4 CC Hair

There is nothing cuter to me than a good braided hairstyle and the Sadie Hair is a perfect option for me. This hair has a gorgeous bow at the end of the braid for added flair and it frames the face in a really beautiful way.

My favourite thing about this hair is that it isn’t perfect, there are pieces that are a bit looser and the braid doesn’t look like it can’t move, making it feel much more realistic.

Veah Hair

The Veah Hair is a gorgeous new mesh that has your sim’s hair in a high pony tail with the hair cascading down on both sides of the head. The hair isn’t super long and it comes down in the pony tail right below your sim’s ears which are also showing so you can wear some beautiful earrings.

Chloe Hair

The next hair on the list of sims 4 cc hair is the Chloe hair which is a slicked back straight hairstyle that is entirely put behind your sim’s back.

The best thing about this is that it comes in two versions, one with a hair bow accessory and one without giving you options. It’s fun to have your sim have the hair bow for their everyday outfit that they wear out of the house and one without the hair bow when they are hanging out at home.

Janette Sims 4 CC Hair

The Janette Hair is an incredible option for an afro hairstyle, especially since the one in the base game that EA created is awful. This is literally the perfect choice and is super interesting because it isn’t just perfectly round on the head and has more volume on one side which is beautiful.

Venus Hair

Next up on the list is the Venus Hair which is a beautiful side bun that is great for sims with naturally straight hair. The hair has a side part with all of the hair flowing to one side of the head either in front of behind the head. The bun is nice a small right under the jawline which is something we definitely don’t have in game and is an interesting option.

Bren Sims 4 CC Hair with Braids

There are so few textured hairs in the game that this Bren Hair is a perfect option for your collection of sims 4 cc hair. This braided look is so gorgeously designed with so many beautiful details including edges looking amazing and the braids having so much dimension!

Nyla Hair

We are definitely lacking in textured hair styles, especially if you only have the base game, so the Nyla Hair is a welcome addition to my mods folder. This hair has some gorgeous braids coming out of a slightly side part with one side going down in front of the shoulder and the other in the back, there are also gorgeous edges laid that look so good on sims!

Lucy Hair

Next up is the Lucy Hair that comes in all eighteen colours you’d expect and is a beautiful messy bun. This hair has some really long face framing pieces that make it look really great and let it be more interesting than just a regular bun. You can feature some great earrings since the shows off the ears nicely!

Eris Hair

Our next hair is the Eris Hair which is a gorgeous shoulder length hair that allows your sims to show off their favourite pair of custom earrings. Being tucked behind the ear is such a fun, simple detail and just makes the pretty simple hair look really gorgeous.

Rowan Hair V2

Next up on this list of sims 4 cc hair is the Rowan Hair V2 which is a hairstyle we definitely don’t have in the game. This one is really nice because it’s super short with the hair coming down just below the ears. The style is half up with a big side swept bang which gives it such a good look and the more fashion colours like blue and pink look amazing with this one. It looks especially good on a sim who has a few custom tattoos!

Tulip Hair

Next up is the Tulip Hair which is a great everyday hair for your sims, especially teenagers! This hair has as bit of a sassy side bang while showing off the ears just enough to have a dangly earring. This tulip hair looks awesome and has a way of being super sweet but also a little bit sassy.

Marci Sims 4 CC Hair

The next on our list of sims 4 cc hair is the Marci Hair which is a medium length half up hairstyle. This hair has bangs that are swept to the side to frame the face and let you show off your sims favourite earrings. The hair is great for a nice hot weather outfit or to wear with your favourite pair of overalls.

Kelly Hair

The Kelly Hair is one of the quirkiest ones on this list. With a pony tail and side bangs it’s an interesting hair that can be used for all sorts of characters. I would love to use this hair for an occult sim, maybe a spell caster or a vampire. It really makes me want to play with one of the occult game packs.

Valentina Hair

The Valentina Hair has so much going on and is just so gorgeous. This hair starts with a set of beautiful side swept bangs that show off a nice triangle of the sims forehead and right behind the bangs there are braids on either side moving back to the back of the head. There are beautiful curls going down on the sim’s shoulder and it looks so adorable with a nice summer dress!

Mona Sims 4 CC Hair

Having a hair of braided pig tails is a great simple option for your sim’s hair and this Mona Hair is a great choice. This hair is actually a re-do of a braided pigtail look from The Sims 4: Snowy Escape but that hair had questionable bangs added to it and didn’t work for many sims so this one is 100x cuter for your next snowboarding trip.

Havana Hair

The next hair on our list is the Havana Hair that is a great simple hair option. This hair has a simple look at the top and goes down into some loose curls at the bottom. It shows off one ear giving more dimension to the hairstyle and lets you show off a fun earring.

Eleanor Hair

There are so many dimensions to the Eleanor Hair you just can’t stop looking at it. This hair starts off with a set of dreads that are in a high pony tail which is a cute look on its own but there are a set of dreads that go across the face acting as a bang and has some beautiful cuffs on the bang which is beautiful.

There are also some really gorgeous edges laid down on the face and really just makes me happy. This hair is perfect for your sims and really lets you show off their custom earrings.

The Roxy Hair is a great option for a unique pony tail that has a ton of hair on top of the head as a chunky bang with a gorgeous pony tail to finish it off. The bangs are doing a great job of framing the face of the sim while also being very thick and making it look great!

The Susan hair is a beautiful half-up half down long hair. The length is gorgeous and the waves on the bottom half look great. Plus, those bangs? Perfect.

The Susan hair would look really great on any aged sim, making it extremely versatile. The bangs are adorable since they aren’t just straight across and it lets you have a small gap in the middle so you can see a bit of forehead. Plus, you can see the ears to allow for some gorgeous earrings.

Azure Hair

The Azure hair features something I love in The Sims 4, headbands! I love hairs that feature accessories because it can add a ton of personality to your characters. This hair also allows you to add some beautiful custom earrings since you can see their ears!

Karina Sims 4 Hair

One of my favourite things about this Karina Hair is that it features a bandana accessory which makes it so much fun. This is a great way to get a hat into the game without using some of the very weird ones that EA has created over the years.

Jade Sims 4 CC Hair

There is something so gorgeous about dreadlocks and you can make really beautiful sims with this Jade Hair. This set of dreadlocks features a set of simple silver cuffs that add some extra fun and can be dressed up or down depending on what you want your sim to look like.

Clouds Hair

The clouds hair is a really beautiful and versatile one that can be worn on completely different sims. I can totally see this on a sim who is totally cool with custom tattoos and piercings but also worn by a sim who loves their cats and wants to spend their time reading a book, definitely a good one to add to your game.

Adria Sims 4 CC Hair

Next up is the Adria Hair which has a gorgeous shoulder length, half up-half down look. The design of this one is absolutely beautiful and the details are so strong. You can really see the love put into this and there are some face framing hairs coming down that just look awesome.

Ellie Hair

The next item up on our list of The Sims 4 CC hair is the Ellie Hair which is shorter and absolutely beautiful. This hair features some the top part of your sims’ hair being pulled back to show off the ears making it a great option for showing of custom earrings.

There are also gorgeous hairs pulled out to really help frame your sim’s face which is a beautiful feature that looks amazing on all sims.

Twisted Bun V2

Since there really aren’t a ton of great textured hairstyles in the game we need to find some amazing custom content hair for this. The Twisted Bun V2 is a really amazing choice for when you want your sims to have a more casual look.

These braids are done so well and have such great detail work and I love this hairstyle for a sim who is young, teen or young adult, and is in high school or university. Focusing on their studies and looking good doing it!

Cheerleader Ponytail

This cheerleader hairstyle is a very great option for a super voluminous up do you can wear as an every day look or use a custom content accessory for the hair to make it fancier for a formal look.

The back of this hair drapes down to the middle of your sim’s back and has so much volume it just feels super beautiful and gives you a great opportunity for adding some gorgeous earrings since the hair is entirely pulled back to show your sim’s ears.

Masculine Sims 4 CC Hair Options

We can’t just have long and feminine hairstyles on this list, of course. Masculine sims deserve to have a bit of love too! These hairs are great because they cover all sorts of more simple hairstyles that will look great on all your favourite sims.

We obviously can’t just talk about adults for these hair options, absolutely not! We have to talk about children and toddlers too just to make sure that everyone has something cute to wear on their head with their favourite outfits. Add some fun kid’s accessories and your sims are bound to be the cutest one at school!

Leon Sims 4 CC Hair

The first hair on our list is a gorgeous swooped back short hair. This hair is very mature and could be something that you keep your sim wearing as they age.

Just imagine this hair on an adult, looks perfect, right? It’s a great professional hairstyle for adults and an adorable mature hairstyle for children.

Banging Bangs Hair

The banging bangs hair is a fun one that puts your sim’s bangs on display, front and center. These bangs are fun with a bit of a messy straight across look where the hairs are in small sections.

The hair has some face framing pieces that go in front of your sim’s ears but shows off their ears allowing them to wear fun earrings which is awesome. The rest of the hair is long and wavy!

Honey Bun Sims 4 Hair

Gloria Hair

What do we love? Volume! Where do we love it? In our hair!

This hairstyle has so much volume and honestly wouldn’t be achievable but 99.9% of children because most kids (and most adults) don’t have that much hair.

Sims 4 CC Hair Options for Toddlers

Toddlers really don’t have enough hair options in The Sims 4, this is because they weren’t originally in the base game and the sims team doesn’t make enough toddlers hairs now. It’s kinda sad and very annoying but thankfully us simmers can add mods and custom content to our games to have so many beautiful hair options for toddlers!

Dahyun Hair

The first hair on our list is this gorgeous up-do for toddlers that just makes me smile when I see it. It looks like the perfect hairstyle that a toddler would wear if they were going to their first dance class.

Just imagine a toddler in The Sims 4 doing their little bent over bouncy dance with this hair, isn’t it the cutest?

This hairstyle has all of the hair in a bun on top of your sim’s head except for a set of bangs that go from the center to either side of your sim’s head in a very adorable way. A must-have in my game!

Nehir Hair

When I was a child I was always so jealous of the kids who had moms who could braid hair since I definitely didn’t have one of those moms. When my friends would show up with beautiful braids I’d just look at them longingly and then be sad.

Since we didn’t have toddlers in the base game originally we really don’t have many good textured hair options for them at all, and the ones we do are super lack-luster.
