The Sims 4: How to Get Animal Clothes (Cottage Living)
The animal clothes that came with The Sims 4: Cottage Living are some of the cutest parts of the pack. Cows dressed in sweaters and hats and bunnies in dresses? Sign me up! These are a little hard to get your hands on though, so let’s discuss how to get animal clothes so you can add even more cuteness to this awesome expansion pack.
How to Get Animal Clothes (Without Cheats)
The first way you can get your hands on some animal clothes is to track down the creature keeper who lives in the Bramblewood neighbourhood at the top left corner of the map. This sim can be found by visiting the Isle of Volpe Park and going over the bridge to find their home.
Once you locate the home, the creature keeper will usually be around. However, if you click on the home there is a focus camera on creature keeper option so you can find him if he’s not around.
Once you find him there are two options, you can either just straight up purchase the animal clothing (which can be costly) or you can ask the creature keeper to craft it for you. The only issue with this method is that you need to deliver the specific types of wool needed to do this, so you’ll need a llama and some different types of animal treats.
How you get the clothes from the creature keeper really depends on how much effort you want to put in. Have a sim with a decent bank account? I’d just buy them instead of trying to create the wool, but if you want the full experience, asking him to craft is more fun.
Now, these clothes won’t appear immediately in your sim’s inventory if you ask him to create them for you. He will say “I’ll get started making the outfit just as soon as I can. Watch for a parcel in the mail containing your new animal clothes!” The clothing will arrive in your mailbox either the next day or the day after.
How to Create Your Own Animal Clothes
If you happen to have The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting installed in your game, you can actually get your sims to craft any of the animal clothing that you can get for your chickens, llamas, bunnies, foxes, and cows. This is awesome because we love cross-pack compatibility!
With a knitting basket in your sims inventory you’ll be able to create different kinds of clothing depending on your skill level, with more intricate creations being made at a higher level. If you have llama wool in your sim’s inventory, this won’t even cost you much money, or may even be free!
How to Cheat to Get Animal Clothes
Another option if you don’t want to seek out the creature keeper or actually knit the items yourself is to cheat. Once you have enabled cheats you can go ahead and hold down shift and click on any of the farm animals in the game and choose get all animal clothes (debug).
Once this is clicked you’ll get every single piece of clothing for every animal in your sim’s inventory immediately, which is a lot so beware if you like a nice organized inventory.
Final Thoughts
Hopefully this helped you be able to find the animal clothes to make your sim’s animals the cutest they can be. It really does add a sense of cuteness and love to your animals and make me fall so much more in love with them. Happy playing!
