Sims 4 Lord or Lady of the Knits Aspiration Walkthrough (Nifty Knitting)
With The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting finally being released we have been given a brand new aspiration, the sims Lord or Lady of the Knits aspiration. This aspiration is going to be perfect for any sim who wishes to knit a ton of new items and gift sweaters to their friends and family. Just make sure you don’t give one to your significant other so you can avoid the horrible sweater curse.
This aspiration follows the same annoying pattern of many aspirations in recent packs that essentially just guide you through a new pack and feel more like a how to then an actual lifetime wish or aspiration.
If a sim starts their life with this aspiration (either from CAS or when they age up to a teenager) they will be given the muser reward trait. This one is good because muser sims get a boost to their creative skill gain when they are feeling inspired, which is really helpful for knitting!
Stages of The Sims 4 Lord or Lady of the Knits Aspiration
Every aspiration in The Sims 4 has multiple levels that you’ll need to get your sims to work through. As you go and finish different tasks your sims are going to be given satisfaction points that they can use to buy reward traits.
There are four stages to the lord or lady of the knits aspiration that your sim will need to work their way through. In each stage there are 3 or 4 things to complete, and once you’ve completed the final stage you’ll be given the sacred knitting knowledge reward trait.
Level One: Humble Knitter
- Knit for 5 Hours
- Start 3 Knitting Projects While Inspired
- Knit on a Rocking Chair
To be able to start gaining the knitting skill and start working on this aspiration you are going to need to purchase a knitting basket from the build catalog. Then, you’ll need to put this basket in your sims inventory so they can start knitting. You are able to click on any chair and choose knit or click on the box in your sims inventory and choose what to knit from there.
Knitting for 5 hours is pretty self explanatory and can honestly be done by the time you finish two knitting projects.
Starting knitting projects while inspired is just a good idea so your work comes out higher quality each time. You can become inspired easiest by taking a thoughtful shower and then start knitting.
Finally, you can guide your sim to knit in a rocking chair by clicking on the chair and choosing knit and clicking whichever object you want your sim to create.
Level Two: Thread Setter
- Achieve Level 4 of the Knitting Skill
- Knit While Listening to Music
- Sell a Knitted Object on Plopsy
To get to the next level of the aspiration your sim is going to need to reach level 4 of the knitting skill which is rather easy and will happen in just a few hours.
Next, your sim will need to knit while listening to music. You can turn on any stereo and click on a chair in the same room and choose to knit, this will get that done. I tried doing it with the fitness stuff earbuds but it didn’t satisfy the requirement.
Finally, you are going to need to sell a knitted object on plopsy. Plopsy is the new selling platform that works a lot like Etsy in the game. You’ll need to list something on plopsy from your inventory which will cost 10 simoleons and then wait for someone who will want to purchase, and then send it out.
Level Three: Dream Weaver
- Complete 10 Excellent Quality Knittables
- Successfully Gift 3 Knittables
- Achieve Level 6 of the Knitting Skill
- Successfully Show Off Your Knitted Sweater to Another Sim
The next part of this aspiration is when it starts to get a bit more difficult since you need to finish 10 excellent quality items with your brand new knitting skill. To make excellent quality stuff happen more often, you’ll want to start your work in a good mood and then try and make sure your sim is feeling inspired because excellent quality is more likely when feeling inspired.
Next, you are going to want to gift 3 knittables that you have created to your friends and family. You want to make sure that you have a decent relationship with the person and give them something of decent quality so that they enjoy it instead of hating it. Also, once again don’t gift a sweater to a significant other because you may fall victim to the sweater curse.
Of course, you are going to need to continue gaining the knitting skill and get to level 6. Finally, you are going to need to get your sim to show off a knitted sweater to another sim. This is under friendly interactions but you need to be wearing the item you’ve created first.
To do this you need to craft a sweater, then click on it in your inventory to add to your wardrobe and go into CAS and add it to one of your sim’s outfits. Then you’ll have this as an option when you’re wearing the sweater.
Level Four: Lord or Lady of the Knits
- Achieve Level 10 of the Knitting Skill
- Donate 5 Knitted Items to Charity
- Complete 5 Legendary Knittables
- Teach a Sim to Knit
To complete off this aspiration your sim needs to max out the knitting skill. This actually doesn’t take long and you’ll unlock the ability to create tons of cute knittables.
You are then going to need to donate 5 knitted items to charity. You can click on any knitted items in your sims inventory, I usually go with socks just because everybody needs socks, and choose to donate to charity. Your sims will even get a positive moodlet after doing so.
Next, you are going to need to complete 5 legendary knittables which are a level higher than excellent. You must be in an incredible mood and have a really high knitting skill to do this. Legendary objects also sell for much more on plopsy.
Finally, you are going to need to teach someone else to knit. As long as you have a knitting basket in your inventory you can click on any sim with a lower knitting skill than you and choose teach to knit and the sims will sit somewhere and have a moment. You can even do this with kids!
Sacred Knitting Knowledge Reward Trait
“Sims with this trait gain enhanced benefits to teaching other Sims how to knit. Sims are also immune to the foul magic of the Sweater Curse, and can dispel afflicted Sims from its snarly grasp. Lastly, Sims have the ability to craft unique knitted items, like a very special companion from a strange land, or the Forbidden Sweater which, honestly, is forbidden for a reason…”
If your sim finishes off the aspiration they are going to be given the sacred knitting knowledge reward trait. This trait is going to make your sim immune to the sweater curse which is great, and they are able to actually reverse the sweater curse on other sims who are currently dealing with it.
They are also going to be able to create that beautifully hideous forbidden sweater that is covered in pom-poms, and can also create the yarny toys from the EA game Unraveled.
Final Thoughts on Sims 4 Lord or Lady of the Knits Aspiration
Nifty Knitting is such a fun stuff pack and is honestly one of the best. The sims 4 lord or lady of the knits aspiration is a great one to play through for that sacred knitting knowledge so you can save people from the sweater curse. You’ll be able to sell so many items on Plopsy, earn a good income and have so much fun. Happy Playing!
