The money tree returns in The Sims 4 and is a really awesome way to earn a ton of money for your sim household. You can earn over §20,000 with this tree so you can make a great living just by having one in your sim backyard.
Where To Get The Money Tree
To get yourself a money tree in The Sims 4, you need to go to the rewards store and purchase one for 5,000 satisfaction points. You can earn these points by completing whims or working towards an aspiration.
How to Cheat To Get The Money Tree
If you are too impatient to wait until you have 5,000 satisfaction points you can always use a cheat to unlock the ability to purchase the money fruit or the money tree. You can do this with the debug cheat by typing bb.showhiddenobjects into the cheat bar.
Taking Care of Your Money Tree
When you finally get your money fruit, you have to plant it! You can plant a money tree in the ground but I’ve noticed that the plant will fail to germinate if you try and plant it in a planter box.
You need to do basic gardening with the money tree as well, such as watering and weeding to make sure that your money tree can thrive. There’s nothing worse than having your money tree die.
Note: You can’t harvest a money tree, so buying one tree from the reward store will only create one tree. To get a second you’ll need to earn another 5,000 satisfaction points and purchase another.
Selling Money Fruit
To make money from your money tree you need to wait until the tree has money fruit on it and click the tree, then click sell money fruit. Depending on the quality of the money tree you’ll get paid a different amount of money.

It might be a bug but if you have other plants nearby and click harvest all on one it will harvest the money tree fruit as well. It’s worked for me in multiple save files.
