Because of this you need to constantly work on your sim’s friendships and romantic relationships, or you can just use these amazing sims 4 relationship cheats to get the job done.
The sims really isn’t fun unless you have some interesting characters to share your sim’s life with, or you can go more chaotic and use these sims 4 relationship cheats to build relationships only to play with death a little later.
Sometimes building up your sims relationships on your own can take way too long and feel so tedious, especially since the relationships fall rather quickly if you ignore them. These amazing cheat codes are going to allow you to completely skip the process of gaining these relationships organically.
The Sims 4 Relationship Cheats
If you’re the type of player who already understands how to use these cheats but just wants them easily available to copy and paste, you can find them in the chart below. If you need them explained to you then we’ll discuss each individual cheat right after this.
The bases of all these cheats are using 100 or -100 in them but you can use these as any number from -100 to 100 so -50 is allowed or 48 is also allowed, depending on how many friendship points you’d like to add or subtract.

How to Use Individual Sims 4 Relationship Cheats
There are three types of relationships that your sims can use and each of them has a different cheat code but they all operate in the same way. The way that relationship cheats work is that there is a point system with 100 points in the positive and 100 points in the negative.
If you start with an entire neutral relationship and fill the amount with 50 positive points you’ll end up with half of a full friendship bar in the game. If you use -50 points you’ll have a half full negative friendship bar.
If you start with -50 friendship points and want to have a perfectly full relationship bar you’ll need to change the number to 150 to gain those 50 points back to get to neutral plus the 100 points to make it full.
How to Cheat Friendship
If you are trying to increase the friendship between two sims you are going to use this cheat:
- ModifyRelationship Sim1 Sim2 Amount LTR_Friendship_Main
I totally understand that a cheat like that can be confusing so let’s do an example. If you wanted to increase Bob and Eliza Pancakes’s friendship by 100 points the cheat is going to look like this:
- ModifyRelationship Bob Pancakes Eliza Pancakes 100 LTR_Friendship_Main
The first sim name is going to be the name of the sim you are currently controlling and you need the first and last name with a space in between. Make sure that you spell them correctly! Then, the number is the amount of relationship you’d wish to give this can be any number from 1 to 100.
These cheats work on a points system so if you fill the number with 100 it will add 100 friendship points, not fill the bar too 100%.
To decrease your friendship with another sim you are going to use the exact same cheat but you are going to change the number from a positive number to a negative. So, for example if you wanted to decrease by 50 relationship points for Bob and Eliza Pancakes you would have a cheat that looks like this:
- ModifyRelationship Bob Pancakes Eliza Pancakes -50 LTR_Friendship_Main
How to Cheat Romance
The romance cheats are going to work exactly the same as the friendship cheat, except in the cheat you are going to change friendship to romance. It will look something like this:
- ModifyRelationship Sim1 Sim2 Amount LTR_Romance_Main
If you wanted to increase the relationship by 50 for Bob and Eliza Pancakes you would have a cheat that looks like this:
- ModifyRelationship Bob Pancakes Eliza Pancakes 50 LTR_Romance_Main
You can also use this to decrease romance by whatever amount by changing the number to be a negative number instead.
How to Cheat Pet Relationships
If you have The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs installed in your game you have the option to cheat relationships between sims and pets. This works pretty much the same as with adults and is really easy to use.
- ModifyRelationship SimName PetName Amount LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main
You want to fill the Sim name with the name of the sim you are currently controlling and the pet name is the name of your pet. Just like the sim to sim cheats the amount is how many points you wish to add to your relationship. Here’s an example of Bob Pancakes becoming friends with a dog that Eliza decided to adopt named Prissy.
- ModifyRelationship Bob Pancakes Prissy 100 LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main
Just like with the sim cheats you are also able to use these to decrease relationships by changing the number to a negative number, so -100 or -50 instead.
Other Relationship & Family Cheats You Should Know
Adding & Removing Sims From Family
A related cheat code that you may want to use is the ability to a dd or remove sims from your family which is super easy. What you’ll need to do is enable your cheats and then go over to a sim you wish to add to your household or remove from your household and hold down shift and click on them and the options will appear in a pie menu.
If you’re playing on console with controllers you’ll have to hold down O and X on Playstation or A and B on Xbox. Sims who are removed will now be in the family bin and will no longer live with you.
Creating Friends for Your Sim
Sometimes it can be very difficult for you to find sims to be friends with and just want to create a sim out of the blue to be your sim’s friend. You can use this cheat to make that happen so easily! First you’ll want to make sure that your cheats are enabled and the cheat box is open.
Then you’ll want to type in reelationships.create_friends_for_sim and hit enter.
When you do this a sim will immediately spawn at the entrance to your lot and you’ll get a notification saying that your sim just became good friends with this other sim and they will now be in your relationship panel. Immediate best friends!
Mods for Using Sims 4 Relationship Cheats
There are dozens of must have mods for The Sims 4 that I absolutely have to have in my game at any time but these two mods that can make using these sims 4 relationship cheats easier are always in my game.
These two awesome cheat mods let you make these cheats without having to memorize them and let you just make a few simple clicks instead which is game changing for players who don’t want to have to memorize things or bookmark this page.
UI Cheats Extension
The easiest mod to use for using sims 4 relationship cheat is definitely UI Cheats. This mod allows you to adjust your sim’s relationships with just a few clicks which is game changing. What you’ll want to do is first download the mod and add it to your mods folder and go to the game and make sure that your mods are enabled.
Then you can restart your game, open up the family you wish to use these cheats with and go into the relationships panel. You’ll then want to right click on the sim you want to edit relationships with in this panel and a pop up will appear.
In this pop up you’re going to type in the amount of points (either positive or negative) that you want to give or take away from your sim and and hit run cheat. You can also establish romantic relationships here by giving your sims at least 10 points in that section.
This mod doesn’t just let you use your sims 4 relationship cheats either, there are so many ways to use this including with money cheats, skill cheats and more. It’s one of my must have mods for the game and always will be.
MC Command Center
UI Cheats is definitely the easier of the two cheat mods to use for sims 4 relationship cheats, however, MC Command Center lets you do much more with your sim’s relationships.
It starts off on your sim’s computer where you’ll click on the MC Command Center option and choose to edit your relationship settings.
When you open this box you’re going to have options to choose from that can make gaining relationships easier, make your decay happen at a different rate and so much more. These are going to let you completely customize your sim’s relationships and make the experience more fun.
There is also an MC Command Center options menu when you click on your sims and this is where you’ll go to edit your sim’s individual relationships.
When you open up this menu you’ll want to click on relationships at the bottom and a new menu will open.
In the relationship menu you’ll find things like add relationship, forget everyone and clear relationships. To use the traditional sims 4 relationship cheats you’ll want to go to set active relationship for lot.
You’ll get to choose whether you want to edit romantic or friendly relationships with a sim and when you click it another menu will open.
In this menu you’ll be able to choose different friendship levels from enemies to best friends and everything in between.
This is a more complicated process than using UI Cheats to use these cheat codes but the mod as a whole is extremely valuable and can let you edit settings for so many parts of the game.

If you are experiencing issues with cheats there are two things you need to do:
- Make sure your cheats are enabled and try the cheat again
- Check the spelling and usage of the cheat, most of the time it’s because players are typing it wrong
If the cheats are still not working you may need to update your game!
4. Why Should I Use Sims 4 Relationship Cheats?
There are a number of reasons why a sims player may want to use these relationship cheats and all of those reasons are valid. The first reason is that you are starting a brand new family who have no relationships built yet and want to start with something and use these for storytelling. These sims 4 relationship cheats are going to allow you to skip past the relationship gaining on your own.

Works for most NPCs that live in worlds. Except for most of the Sulani residents. Apparently this game has an issue with Hawaiian names. Doesn’t recognize most of the names so the cheat won’t work. Anyone know of a way around this or a different cheat? Mod? Anything?
If you use the UI Cheats Extension Mod you can easily change relationship values 🙂 I didn’t know that there was an issue with Sulani people, thats weird!
Yeah, and it kinda got worse – since some names don’t work. My Sim married Paka’a Uha – one of the names the cheat doesn’t like – and his Aspiration is Popularity. It’s gonna be interesting! 🙂 Thanks for the info on the mod – I’ll go get it now.
First you rename the sim. When it comes to Baby Ariel you have to give her a last name.
