The Sims 4: Friend of the World Aspiration
The friend of the world aspiration is a base game aspiration in The Sims 4. This aspiration focuses on just making a whole bunch of friends and gaining the charisma skill to the point of maxing it out.
In this aspiration you’ll be spending most of your free time talking to others and really never have alone time anymore.
Traits That Can Help
Every aspiration in The Sims 4 has a few traits that are going to make finishing the aspiration easier for you or make it happen more quickly.
Outgoing
A sim who has the outgoing trait is going to have more fun talking to other sims and won’t get stressed if there are tons of people around.
Cheerful
A cheerful sim is more likely to be happy way more often and a sim who is happier is more likely to make friends with other sims!
Reward Trait for the Friend of the World Aspiration
When your sim finishes the friend of the world aspiration they are going to be given the beloved reward trait. This one is really awesome because it completely stops relationship decay!
Your sims will never lose their relationships with people they met and haven’t seen in weeks which is incredibly great so you’ve always got options when you’re lonely.
Stages of the Aspiration
Level One: New in Town
- Introduce Self to 10 Sims
- Have 3 Friends
The first step of this aspiration is to introduce yourself to 10 sims. You can do this by going to any community lot (i.e., park, bar, gym) and just doing a friendly interaction with any of the sims who show up, this part can be knocked out in just a few minutes.
To make 3 friends, you’ll need to spend time getting to know sims and doing a ton of friendly and funny interactions to grow relationships. You don’t need to grow them a whole lot to get to the friend level, so you should be able to complete this on day one.
Level Two: Well Liked
- Meet Someone New in 3 Different Locations
- Reach Level 4 of the Charisma Skill
The second stage of this aspiration is rather easy as well, the first part is to meet someone new in 3 different locations. You’ll need to bop around to different homes and community lots and introduce yourself to one person at each.
You’ll also need to reach level 4 of the charisma skill. This will be done rather easily while you’re working on gaining relationships, but if you don’t hit level 4 but finish the other part of the aspiration you can choose to practice speech in the mirror.
Level Three: Super Friend
- Have 12 Friends
- Reach Level 6 of the Charisma Skill
This next part of the aspiration gets a little harder, since you need to have 12 friends to complete it. Working on 12 relationships will easily get you to level 6 of the charisma skill, so don’t worry too much about that.
Since you’ve already introduced yourself to at least 10 sims, you can work on those relationships first and then go and make friends with other townies who may pass by.
To gain relationships easy you can try things like cloud gazing that will grow it really easy, or gain reputation from The Sims 4: Get Famous to start higher than normal.
Level Four: Friend of the World
- Have 20 Friends
- Achieve Level 10 Charisma Skill
- Make a BFF
The final part of this aspiration is tricky, since you need 20 friends. Maintaining 20 relationships is going to be hard since you’ll need to have face to face time with each of them to make sure you don’t fall out of friendship with them.
You may choose to have parties and invite a bunch of people over at once, or take advantage of the club system from The Sims 4: Get Together to try and get some sims to hangout together.
You’re also going to need to max out your charisma skill, you can do this by just hanging out with friends and doing friendly interactions or by practicing a speech int he mirror.
Finally, you’ll need to make a BFF. This isn’t like the friends or good friends that happens automatically as you grow your relationship bars, you’ll actually need to ask someone to be your BFF, this will show up in your friendly interactions as you get a really full relationship bar.
Final Thoughts
Being a friend of the world may seem like it’s super easy, but maintaining relationships with this many sims can be really difficult so proceed with caution when choosing this aspiration. It can be really fun! Happy Playing!
