Let’s face it if you aren’t using sims 4 CAS backgrounds to enhance your experience then you’re just doing it wrong. The default background in The Sims 4 is one of the most boring and dated things in the game and that ombre gives me nightmares at this point.

We can’t be expected to look at the same CAS background after this many years without getting extremely sick of it and it feels like the only answer is to find yourself some awesome custom content options.

How to Install Sims 4 CAS Backgrounds

Installing sims 4 CAS backgrounds is actually extremely easy and works just like installing any other piece of regular custom content. What you need to do is head to any of the links listed below and download the file and once downloaded open up your downloads folder in one window and your mods folder in the other.

Your mods folder can be found by going to documents > electronic arts > sims 4 > mods and this is where you’ll put any cc and mods you want. Then you’ll drag your custom create a sim background into your mods folder and launch your game.

Be sure to only have one CAS background installed at a time so the game doesn’t get confused about which one you want and also ensure that mods are enabled in your game settings.

Sometimes a nice simple CAS background will do the job the best and these striped backgrounds are such an awesome option for any player, especially since they come in so many different colours.

These are really fun because they have a nice detail where they fold forward at the bottom making it look like your sim is at a photo shoot standing on top of a roll of fabric or paper and it adds a bit of dimension to your CAS experience.

This honestly feels so groovy and 60s or 70s to me. Reminds me so much of wallpaper I’ve seen in images of my family member’s houses from those years and it just makes me feel happy.

There are so many beautiful patterns you can use in your game and this Alice sims background is a gorgeous pattern. One thing I love about forgotten grotto is how many crystals are all over the world making it absolutely beautiful as a background option for making sims. The light coming off of those crystals really adds some cute vibes to your game.

There isn’t just the one type of hidden world background, in addition to the forgotten grotto option there is also a sims 4 CAS background for Sylvan Glade.

This gorgeous CAS background has all of the beautiful pink trees and pink flowers around that just make for the most adorable vibe.

Mt. Komorebi CAS Background

The sims team really has done a great job creating gorgeous worlds for you to take absolutely beautiful screenshots and this CAS background from Mt Komorebi in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape is absolutely beautiful.

This Mt Komorebi CAS Background features a gorgeous frozen lake with trees and greenery growing covered in a small layer of snow. These wintery vibes would definitely inspire me to create sims with gorgeous winter clothing and warm cozy sweaters.

When custom content creators go ahead and take gorgeous areas that are already in The Sims 4 and turn them into CAS backgrounds, they impress me every time. One of the most beautiful worlds we have in the game is, of course, Sulani and it makes such a good option for gorgeous screenshots and incredible background choices.

There are a few options for you to pick from including ones that are bright and sunny and others that are taken at night for a totally different vibe. The gorgeous trees and water in the background will make your experience in CAS so much more fun.

This set of CAS backgrounds is such a fun option because they cover a bunch of different styles you might be interested in. There are two that are moon sky themed which is absolutely gorgeous and it brings you into a different world than The Sims.

The black flowers one is super simple with adorable pink, yellow and white flowers on a black background and then there are 3 anime themed CAS backgrounds for the game that are designed after city scapes and are just gorgeous.

Camo CAS Background

Oh wait, I can’t even see this one? Just kidding, but not really because camo jokes are hilarious. This camo background is great if you love to make camo jokes like I do.

This simple CAS background has a really fuzzy looking camouflage that looks like one of those cozy dollar store blankets that you’d get as a kid. Such a fun option for a sims 4 CAS background!

Colourful Gradient Sims 4 Backgrounds

Although we do get a gradient in the game by default, the colours are boring and the default background is overused after so many years. These colourful gradients are so much more fun than the original with you having options for pink and orange, yellows and blues which can totally change the vibe of the create a sim experience.
