When you play a lot of The Sims 4 you’ll get bored of regular aspirations as they get stale, so downloading sims 4 custom aspirations is the way to go. The base game aspirations are so boring after all these years and we need to be consistently given new ones but even with DLC we are lacking.

As with so many things in the sims community, modders are always here to save the day and they do an incredible job with sims 4 custom aspirations. They make aspirations we’d never get in game, or ones that EA probably would never even think of allowing you to have the best time when playing the game.

You’ll be able to find custom aspirations for your older sims aged teen through elder or even find custom children’s aspirations that let you have a good time with your younger sims too.

1. Self Sufficient Aspiration

First up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the self-sufficient aspiration which requires you to have The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle. This aspiration’s description says “This sim wants to shun the cycle of consumerism by growing, recycling, and crafting all their own needs.”

When working through this aspiration your sim is going to need to gain the handiness skill as well as the fabrication skill and do a bunch of other small tasks to complete it. When finished they’ll get the salvage artisan reward trait!

2. Quality of Life Aspiration

Do you want to have your sims focus on their quality of life instead of a constant grind? If so, this custom aspiration is for you.

This one is going to have your sims attending skill classes, having a decent wellness skill and doing things like volunteering. They’ll just want to have a good time and enjoy life.

3. Culinary Librarian

If you’re looking for a fun food aspiration that brings in all sorts of cooking, the culinary librarian is a good choice. This aspiration has different sections that focus on different types of cooking. You’ll learn the baking skill and need to decorate pastries that you create.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn different recipes from food stalls and cook them, and even need to cook ambrosia which can actually bring sims back to life!

4. Active Aspiration

The bodybuilder aspiration isn’t the best because it has a part where you need your sims to get into peak physical health which isn’t that fun. This active aspiration lets your sims focus on their fitness skill without having to do all of that.

When working through this aspiration your sims are going to want to run on the treadmill, spending time jogging, working in 3 different gyms and research workout tips.

5. Wellness Aspiration

The wellness skill is a great option for sims who want to live a slower life. This custom aspiration is going to have your sims spending a lot of time in the spa getting massages and taking yoga classes.

They’ll need to learn about meditation and yoga which is super fun and lets your sims reach a new level. They can even learn how to teleport to sylvan glade with wellness!

6. Travel & Culture Fanatic Aspiration

Is your sim a travel fanatic? Do they want to learn everything they can about the world? Well, with the travel & culture fanatic aspiration they will have that opportunity.

This aspiration will have your sims wanting to learn about selvadoradian culture when they travel there as well as learning all about rumbasim. They will want to throw Kava parties and write a book about everything they’ve learned in their travels!

7. Devoted Fan

With The Sims 4: Get Famous we have aspirations about getting famous but none about being an adoring fan. This devoted fan aspiration fills that gap and lets your sims focus on spending time around celebrities.

In this aspiration your sims are going to want to get autographs, ask celebrities for hugs, watch an award ceremony and even befriend a celebrity. Throughout this your sims will definitely gain a celebrity influence too.

8. Geek Aspiration

Being a geek is a fun way to live, and with the geek aspiration your sims are going to get to learn so much and have a great time. These sims are going to learn the video gaming skill and even join game tournaments.

These sims will also need to read books, own expensive bookshelves, and just have a good time on their own.

9. Van Helsim Aspiration

We got some fun aspirations with The Sims 4: Vampires but there are none like the Van Helsim aspiration. This is a great option for your sims 4 custom aspirations folder because it has your sim wanting to cure the world of vampires by that sim becoming a vampire themselves.

In this aspiration your sims are going to need to become a vampire, learn about vampire lore and continue to increase their vampire XP to become a master vampire.

10. Photo Artist

The photo artist aspiration focuses on the photography skill and will have your sims taking photos of sims and the world and eventually getting to own expensive equipment.

When you finish off this aspiration your sims are going to get a tripod camera that they can use anywhere in the world to take gorgeous photos whenever they want.

11. Twilight Years

There really aren’t any aspirations that are focused on elders in the game which sucks, because you don’t want your elders focused on anything but living their best life. The twilight years aspiration is the perfect replacement for this!

In this aspiration your sims are going to focus on making delicious meals, spending time with their children and grand children and spending time reflecting and learning new things.

12. World Class Detective Aspiration

If you have The Sims 4: Get to Work your sims are able to join the detective career and with this aspiration you can have a better experience with this career.

When working through this aspiration your sims are going to need to improve their standing in their career, search for clues, take witness reports and even improve their charisma skill. When completed your sims will get a fun plaque to commemorate.

13. True Philanthropist

The true philanthropist aspiration is going to focus on your sims doing good things for others. This involves your sims doing volunteer work, donating money to charity and even having charity benefits.

When your sims finish this aspiration they’ll get the community benefactor reward trait that lets them donate any item in their inventory to charity, and they’ll also get quite a bit of fame.

14. My Own Business Aspiration

With The Sims 4: Get to Work your sims are able to own businesses, with Dine Out you can own a restaurant and with Cats & Dogs your sims can own a vet clinic and now with My Own Business you can have an aspiration for all of these.

This aspiration has levels for opening your business, hiring employees, and performing different business interactions. It’s the perfect option for a sim who wants to be an entrepreneur.

15. Home Cooking Enthusiast

A huge annoyance with the master chef aspiration is that it is tied to the culinary career so you can’t have a sim who loves to cook without joining the career.

The home cooking enthusiast aspiration will let you have a sim who loves to cook who can complete the aspiration without ever needing a job. They’ll need to cook excellent meals, read a cooking skill book and even gain the baking skill.

16. Gold Digger

Not all romances have good meanings and the gold-digger aspiration is definitely the opposite of the soulmate aspiration. Sims who have this aspiration are going to want to focus their time on making money through marrying rich.

The ultimate goal of this aspiration is to experience the death of your sim’s spouse so they can keep all of their money, of course. They’ll also want to own the most expensive items in the game.

17. Florist Aspiration

The florist aspiration should definitely be in your sims 4 custom aspirations folder because you can create gorgeous flower arrangements and earn a great income through this.

The main goal of this aspiration is to earn an income through your flower arranging skill by eventually earning 25,000 simoleons with this.

18. Lifetime Aspirations

One thing that many players miss from past games is the ability to have a life time wish instead of an aspiration so this is a must-have if that’s what you want. This is going to allow you to choose an aspiration that has a single goal instead of tiered goals.

For example, the big happy family aspiration will have you just needing to have six grandchildren instead of all the other steps that are in the base game aspiration traditionally. This allows you to focus on the grand scheme of your sim’s life instead of silly small goals.

19. Treasure Hunter Aspiration

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the treasure hunter that focuses a lot of time on different collectibles. This aspiration focuses on more of the expensive collectibles instead of MySims Trophies though.

Your sims are going to need to complete certain collections like the crystals collection or the fossils collection while also gaining the fitness skill. When completed your sim will get the treasure hunter reward trait where they’ll be able to find more rare and valuable collectibles.

20. Free Fitness Sims 4 Custom Aspiration

Working out in The Sims 4 is an expensive thing if you never want to leave your lot, but the free fitness aspiration focuses on getting your sims in shape without ever spending a dollar.

These sims aren’t going to want to own any of their own fitness equipment ever. They’ll work out in public gyms with public pools every time. Gain the fitness skill without spending money!

21. Nightlife Superstar Aspiration

If the party animal aspiration isn’t enough for you and you want to take it further you should definitely download the nightlife superstar. With this aspiration your sims are going to be spending a lot of time at the club doing things like drinking and dancing.

When your sim finishes the aspiration they are going to be given the life of the party reward trait which will let them party harder than ever before.

22. World-Famous Baker

The baking skill is a fun one to play with because who doesn’t love cupcakes? With this world famous baker aspiration your sims are going to learn so much about baking and work toward making perfect quality items!

If you don’t have the space for a giant cupcake machine you may want to download this A-Dough-Able Cupcake Maker that will fit just on your sim’s counter!

23. Knowledge Aspiration

In The Sims 2 there was a knowledge aspiration and this custom aspiration will allow you to bring that back into the game. This is going to heavily focus on skill gains with learning skills like the rocket science skill.

Your sims are going to need to own a microscope and a rocket ship and really work through many skills and gain a ton of knowledge.

24. Herbalist Aspiration

With The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat we were given a herbalism skill that your sims can play around with. When you add this aspiration to your game you can have a more organized way to work through this skill.

With this aspiration you’ll be doing things like collecting insects, planting fruits and creating herbalism potions. You’ll definitely need to go visit the hermit in the woods to get the best stuff.

25. Military Hero Aspiration

The next option on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the military hero where you’ll need to have The Sims 4: Strangerville in your game. This aspiration focuses on the military career that came with that pack and everything that goes along with it.

When working through this aspiration your sim is going to need to join the career as well as gain the fitness skill while working out consistently.

26. Woodworker Aspiration

Woodworking is a great part of the handiness skill where you can craft decor and furniture objects for your sims in the base game. In this aspiration your sims will need to create different woodworking objects and will eventually need to max the skill and craft the more complex items.

When your sims finish this aspiration they’ll be given the carpenter reward trait that will let your sims learn all other mental skills like the programming skill quicker than normal.

27. The Art of Flower Arranging Aspiration

The flower arranging skill is a fun one to play through in the game but isn’t tied to any aspirations so this aspiration option is a good one if you love making gorgeous arrangements in the game.

In this aspiration your sim will need to increase their flower arranging skill slowly and make flower arrangements of various types. They’ll need to take photos, add a vase, and make masterpiece arrangements.

28. Mother Plant Resurrection Aspiration

Something that many players don’t know is that once you destroy the Mother Plant in The Sims 4: Strangerville you can actually bring it back to life and have new interactions with it!

This Mother Plant Resurrection aspiration is actually going to guide you through this process and eventually give you an amazing reward trait. Finishing this aspiration will let you play with death and become a resurrector.

When you have this trait you’ll be able to actually bring ghosts back to life and even extend the life of sims!

29. Robotics Aspiration

The robotics aspiration is a great option if you have The Sims 4: Discover University installed in your game. This aspiration has your sims learning robotics and working toward eventually crafting a servo to join your family.

When your sims are finally able to finish this aspiration they are going to be awarded with the robotic genius trait that will give you increased job performance when your sim is working in the engineer career!

30. Vegetarian Aspiration

The next option on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the vegetarian aspiration. This aspiration will have your sims avoiding meat at all costs and really exploring some of the awesome veggie options in the game.

Some of the things your sims are going to need to do include eating uncommon fruit or veggies, grilling tofu dogs and learning the gardening skill.

31. Voice Virtuoso Aspiration

The singing skill is a fun skill to gain in the game and this voice virtuoso aspiration is awesome! This aspiration is going to focus on this skill and getting your sims to become an incredible singer.

The things your sim will have to do include watching karaoke, and eventually singing karaoke, singing in the shower, and gaining the singing skill to eventually max it out. Your sims will need to become really great singers.

32. Astronaut Aspiration

Working as an astronaut is a really fun thing to do in The Sims 4 but there are no aspirations for it, so this astronaut aspiration is a must-have. When you add this to your sims 4 custom aspirations folder you’ll want to make sure that your sims can afford a rocket ship, which gets expensive really quick!

When doing this aspiration your sims are going to need to join the astronaut career, enthuse other sims about space and gain the fitness skill.

33. Simternet Conqueror Aspiration

In The Sims 4: Get Famous there’s an entire object that allows you to create, edit and upload videos to earn an income but there are no aspirations to go along with this. Thankfully, you can downloaded this simternet aspiration where your sims will focus on gaining a social media following and uploading videos.

In this aspiration your sims will need to study the trends, upload videos and join into the social media career where they’ll have to juggle work and uploading videos in their spare time.

34. Dancer Aspiration

The dancer aspiration is a fun one but you need to have The Sims 4: Get Together since this focuses heavily on the dancing skill. Some of the things your sims will need to do involve learning the dancing skill, spending hours dancing in a club and doing dance battles with other sims.

When your sim finishes this aspiration they are going to be awarded with 5,000 simoleons and get a free dance floor!

35. Change The World Aspiration

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the change the world aspiration where your sims are going to want to get involved politically. These sims are going to be working in the politician career and need to do a ton of work to make sure they’re doing a good job.

Some of the things your sims will need to complete in this process are things like securing votes, giving speeches, and joining an on-going protest. They’ll even get whims for things like collecting donations and securing vote.

36. Active Career Aspirations

One of the big disappointments from The Sims 4: Get to Work was the fact that none of the new active careers came with aspirations to go next to them.

This was a big missed opportunity for The Sims 4 so I’m glad that this set of custom aspirations exists. There is one to go along with the doctor, scientist, or detective career.

37. Aphrodite Aspiration

The Aphrodite aspiration is based on the Greek Goddess of Aphrodite. This aspiration is a love aspiration where your sim will be slowly working through different myths from Greek mythology.

Your sim will need to get married, have multiple significant others, and have children. It’s a fun aspiration that can really shake up your gameplay and make you play in a totally different way.

38. Applied Animal Behaviourist Aspiration

The applied animal behaviorist aspiration is a great one if you have The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs because it focuses on the pet training skill that was totally ignored in the aspiration category which feels like a missed opportunity.

This aspiration is going to have you training pets a lot until you essentially have a perfectly trained animal, which is awesome because sims pets are better when they are trained!

39. Grilled Cheese Aspiration in CAS

Did you know there’s a secret grilled cheese aspiration in The Sims 4? This is something you have to unlock by eating a ton of grilled cheese sandwiches back to back.

Well, when you download this aspiration you’ll be able to just choose the grilled cheese aspiration right in create a sim!

40. Beekeeper Aspiration

The beekeeper aspiration requires The Sims 4: Seasons to work, and works with the fun beekeeping box that came with that pack. It’s fun when modders create aspirations based on these specific gameplay objects and it keeps the game interesting.

In this aspiration your sims will need to own Burtie’s Bee Box and sell honey, as well as use the bee swarm interactions which are so fun!

42. Bloodborne Aspiration

The bloodborne aspiration has a description that says “This sim wants to discover the truth about their Vampire Bloodline.” I really like this aspiration because it adds more depth to vampires instead of just vampire family that we got with the game.

This aspiration makes your vampire sims feel more well rounded because they are going to make friends, earn money, and kiss different sims. It is a really nice vampire aspiration!

43. Family Aspiration

The family aspiration is a transport from The Sims 2 to The Sims 4 and has a description that says “sims with the family aspiration long to be part of a big, happy family. They need quality time with family members, and lots of meaningful interactions with all the branches of their family tree.”

In this aspiration your sim will slowly need to complete tasks to grow their family, starting with having your first kiss, to having children and eventually having 10 kids or grandkids.

44. Famous Pastry Chef Aspiration

When The Sims 4: Get to Work came to the game we got the baking skill and annoyingly didn’t get an aspiration like master chef to go along with it.

Thankfully, you can use the famous pastry chef aspiration in your game. In this aspiration your sims will be watching cooking TV and creating delicious baked goods for them to enjoy or sell to other sims to earn an income.

45. Homesteader Aspiration

The homesteader aspiration has a description that states “This sim wants to be self-sufficient and live off the land.” This aspiration is going to focus on gardening and fishing so you are able to live entirely off your own production without needing a regular job or needing to spend money on food.

With this aspiration completed your sims are going to get the master ‘steader reward trait that will guarantee that your sims have better quality gardens and always catch the best fish.

46. Living Life Aspiration

The living life aspiration is a simple aspiration that is just about focusing on living your life, with no real path to go down that puts your sims in a hole and doesn’t let them try new things. This aspiration has extremely simple steps to work through like becoming a parent, and having friends.

When your sim finishes their aspiration they are going to get a life liver reward trait that says “congrats you’ve lived life to the maxis” which is hilarious!

47. Mermaid Aspirations

With The Sims 4: Island Living we got mermaids added to the game, but they are shallow and honestly quite boring, so of course the team didn’t add any mermaid aspirations with this pack.

With this aspiration pack there are three different types of aspirations, called Ariel, Siren, and Mermaid Experience, and each of them have different levels to explore. And of course, the Ariel aspiration is loosely based on The Little Mermaid which is fun.

48. No Regrets Aspiration

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspiration is the no regrets aspiration. This is a nice aspiration if you just want to have your sim live their lives. It’s really nice because it isn’t focused on just being productive and earning money, it is focused on having more fun than anything.

Your sims are going to do things like playing video games, owning expensive TVs and having their first kisses. All of which are just regular human moments that it’s fun to have your sims participate in.

49. Perfectly Balanced Aspiration

The perfectly balanced aspiration requires The Sims 4: Spa Day for your sims to play through it because it focuses on the yoga mat and meditation that came with that pack. This is a great option for sims who want to get really zen and enjoy their lives in a peaceful way.

This aspiration will have your sims earning the wellness skill and doing a ton of yoga, gaining the fitness skill and eating some fresh fruits and vegetables. It can be really fun to use if your are into these things in real life.

50. Pleasure Aspiration

The pleasure aspiration is a great one for just relaxing and chilling instead of focusing on earning money or gaining tons of skills. You can go to nightclubs, buy hot tubs, and so much more including making friends.

When your sim finishes this aspiration they are going to get the chill reward trait which has a description stating “A life of fun and leisure has mellowed out SimName. Now SimName won’t become angry, tense or embarrassed.”

51. Pursuit of Happiness Aspiration

The pursuit of happiness aspiration will have your sim focusing on getting me time in. They will do things like using hot tubs, dancing, making friends, and having bubble baths. It’s all about having a nice and relaxed life where you can just enjoy yourself and let loose.

Finishing this aspiration will give your sim the bright side reward trait which will get your sims to be happier for longer.

52. Quiet Life Aspiration

The quiet life aspiration has a description that says “this sim just wants to live a quiet life, mind your own business, and live long.” This aspiration will just have your sim living a normal, quiet life, where they aren’t doing too much and they are just minding their own business. When you finish off the aspiration your sim will get the pleased reward trait where your sim will be less likely to be in negative moods like tense, embarrassed, or uncomfortable.

53. Renowned Photographer Aspiration

The renowned photographer aspiration is great because the photography skill didn’t get a ton of love in The Sims 4. It’s nice to have a skill have it’s own aspiration so you feel more incentivized to work through it.

This aspiration will have your sim owning a photo studio retail lot, taking photos in different worlds, and leveling up their photography skill. Overall, just a really fun aspiration if you want your sim to be a celebrated photographer.

54. Romance Aspiration

The romance aspiration has a description that says “sims with the romance aspiration crave lots of lovin’ with as many different sims as they can find, so setting aside time for them to chase those hot prospects is key.”

This aspiration is a transport from The Sims 2 to The Sims 4 and the romance was one of my favourite aspirations in The Sims 2. You’ll need to gain the charisma skill and flirt a ton if you want to get this done.

55. UFO Investigator Aspiration

Are you obsessed with aliens? Do you have The Sims 4: Get to Work? If so, the UFO Investigator is a fun option for your sims 4 custom aspirations folder.

When you have this aspiration your sims are going to be very focused on the sky, they’ll want to earn the rocket science skill and star gaze as well as collect alien space rocks and so much more. When completed they’ll get the alien guru reward trait where they can command aliens to abduct other sims.

56. Whimsical Ways Aspiration

When The Sims 4 was first released there was a huge focus on whims that give you satisfaction points but they have been disabled by default. You can enable your whims and use the whimsical ways aspiration.

Completing this aspiration is extremely easy because you just need to work on completing whims and you’ll get the long lived reward trait when they complete it.

Teenager Sims 4 Custom Aspirations

Teenagers in The Sims 4 really don’t get much love and that is very true when it comes to aspirations. They have a bunch to choose from as they get everything that adults get, but none of them are teen-focused. Thankfully, there are a handful of teen-focused sims 4 custom aspirations you can play through.

57. Academic Scholar

The focus of the academic scholar aspiration is for your sims to earn a full ride scholarship to university. This means that for this one you’ll need to have The Sims 4: Discover University installed in your game. You’ll want to make sure that your sims have high skills and are able to complete their homework and school tasks all the time.

58. Straight-A Student

When you give a teenager the Straight-A-Student aspiration they are going to be so focused on doing well in high school. This means they’ll need to consistently get their homework done and finish all of their school tasks like gaining skills.

59. University Bound

The next choice on the list of sims 4 custom aspirations is University Bound. Sims who have this aspiration are just going to want to get into University at all costs, and specifically into a distinguished degree. Of course, since this is focused on University you’ll need to have The Sims 4: Discover University installed.

60. Valedictorian

When you have your sims trying to be valedictorian you’ll need them to be very serious about their studies. They are going to need to keep a high A in school as well as always attend classes in a good mood!

61. Student Body President

A sim who wants to be the student body president is going to devote their life to reaching the top of student government, which also comes when you download this aspiration!

62. In Crowd

Sims who get the In-Crowd aspiration are totally focused on being a friend of the world and having tons of friends at school.

63. School Flirt

There is always a flirt in all schools who just wants to get to know every other sim, and your sim can be the school flirt. They’ll want to flirt with tons of different sims that they meet at school!

64. Social Media Socialite

There are some kids who focus on their studies and that’s not this sim! This option for sims 4 custom aspirations is going to have your sim completely focused on gaining social media followers. This will set them up nicely to eventually enter in the social media career.

65. Teen Heartbreaker

If school flirt wasn’t enough, you can have your sim be the teen heartbreaker where they’ll have a fun time dating and breaking hearts. Definitely prepare them for a successful love life in the future.

66. High School Sweetheart

When you have a sim with the high school sweetheart aspiration they are going to have their life focused on a single sim. They’ll want to be in a very adorable relationship that ends with them exchanging promise rings!

67. Future Philanthropist

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations is the future philanthropist aspiration. This one will have your sims spending a whole bunch of time volunteering and doing great things for the community.

68. Mischief Maker

The mischief maker aspiration is going to have your sim focused on the mischief skill, this is great and will be a good teen aspiration for a sim who will have the chief of mischief aspiration as an adult.

69. Passionseeker

When you use the passion seeker aspiration your sim is super focused on gaining one skill and mastering that skill. They’ll need to focus a ton of their time on gaining this skill and eventually be able to mentor another sim in that skill to shower off how good they are.

70. Teen Moneymaker

Some kids are focused on friends and family and others are focused on earning an income as a teen! The teen moneymaker aspiration is going to have your sim striving to earn 10,000 simoleons before they age up to be an adult.

71. Student Athlete

With the student athlete aspiration your sim is focused on getting really good at a single sport and being an amazing student athlete. They want to be good enough to get a scholarship to go to university!

Children’s Sims 4 Custom Aspirations

There are a handful of children’s aspirations you can play through in the game but they get really stale really quick if you play a lot of the game. There are a few custom children’s aspirations you can play through to have a more fun and interesting time in the game!

72. Teacher’s Pet Aspiration

First up for sims 4 custom aspirations that are made for kids is the teacher’s pet aspiration that focuses on doing school work and making sure your sim’s homework is complete. They’ll need to gain the mental skill and ensure their school tasks are completed.

When your sim finishes this aspiration they’ll be awarded with the star student reward trait where they’ll gain mental skills more quickly (i.e., the logic skill) and can do better at some jobs.

73. Grow Up Aspiration

There was a lifetime wish in The Sims 2 for all kids where they just needed to focus on growing up and being kids and with this one it lets you have that experience. This aspiration focuses on just gaining child skills and having fun playing on monkey bars, learning random things and reading books.

74. Delinquent

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations for kids is the delinquent aspiration where your sims are going to be less than angelic. These sims will troll the forums, become partners in crime, have enemies and more.

When your sim completes this aspiration they’ll be given the juvenile delinquent reward trait. This will make it so they can gain the mischief skill more quickly and when they are older they’ll have more success when working in the criminal career.

75. Class Clown Aspiration

The class clown aspiration is a fun one to give your kids that focused on them being little silly beans. These sims are going to invite sims to fake parties, trick sims with hand buzzers and just be a nuisance in general.

76. Child Star

Next up on our list of sims 4 custom aspirations requires you to have The Sims 4: Get Famous installed in your game. This child star aspiration is focused entirely on making your sim famous all on their own.

This sim will join the drama club, practicing acting in the mirror every chance they get and even record toy reviews at the video station and publish those to become a famous simstuber.

77. First Love
